Dramatic Tunes of Bohemian Rhapsody Roll Throughout November

November 19, 2018

It's not November rain - it's November snow out here on the other side of the window. However the tune of I want to ride my bicycle obsessively beats in the head no matter what nasty weather is brought to our door. And the reason is one and only - this month is the month of Queen history and the ode to Bohemian Rhapsody, therefore it's practically impossible to avoid the talks about the newest movie directed by Bryan Singer and Dexter Fletcher.

This is the drama you'd definitely apt to see, even if you've never been fond of this cult rock band. At least for an excellent performance of Rami Malek in the role of Mercury. But if you're really not into songs and their authors, there's much more drama going on in November. Check it out!

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

Plot Synopsis: Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music.

BOY ERASED

Plot Synopsis: The film tells the story of Jared (Lucas Hedges), the son of a Baptist pastor in a small American town, who is outed to his parents (Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe) at age 19. Jared is faced with an ultimatum: attend a gay conversion therapy program – or be permanently exiled and shunned by his family, friends, and faith.

JONATHAN

Plot Synopsis: Jonathan is a young man with a strange condition that only his brother understands (both portrayed by Ansel Elgort). But when he begins to yearn for a different life, their unique bond becomes increasingly tested in this twisty sci-fi drama.

CREED II

Plot Synopsis: Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan). Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent (Florian Munteanu) with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family.

THE FRONT RUNNER

Plot Synopsis: Oscar nominee Hugh Jackman stars as the charismatic politician Gary Hart for Academy Award-nominated director Jason Reitman in the new thrilling drama. The film follows the rise and fall of Senator Hart, who captured the imagination of young voters and was considered the overwhelming front runner for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination when his campaign was sidelined by the story of an extramarital relationship with Donna Rice. As tabloid journalism and political journalism merged for the first time, Senator Hart was forced to drop out of the race - events that left a profound and lasting impact on American politics and the world stage.

WELCOME TO MARWEN

Plot Synopsis: The film tells the miraculous true story of one broken man's fight as he discovers how artistic imagination can restore the human spirit. When a devastating attack shatters Mark Hogancamp (Steve Carell) and wipes away all memories, no one expected recovery. Putting together pieces from his old and new life, Mark meticulously creates a wondrous town where he can heal and be heroic. As he builds an astonishing art installation - a testament to the most powerful women he knows - through his fantasy world, he draws strength to triumph in the real one.

THE FAVOURITE

Plot Synopsis: Yorgos Lanthimos's bawdy, acerbic tale of royal intrigue, passion, envy and betrayal in the court of Queen Anne in early 18th century England. At the center of the story is the Queen herself (Olivia Colman), whose relationship with her confidante, adviser and clandestine lover Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough (Rachel Weisz) is turned upside down by the arrival of the Duchess's younger cousin Abigail (Emma Stone). Soon the balance of power shifts between the women as they jockey for influence with the Queen and the court.
