Autumn brings back the most prestigious literary awards into a spotlight. Although the final announcements are yet to come, selection of the most probable candidates is already on the way. The 2025 Booker Prize judging panel, led by the renowned writer and 1993 Booker Prize winner Roddy Doyle, has selected a shortlist of six novels.

The International Booker Prize, the world’s most influential award for translated fiction, has already announced its winner 2025. This year it is Heart Lamp by Banu Mushtaq, translated from Kannada by Deepa Bhasthi.
