A Little Bit Of Everything For Movie-Loving Christmas
Full-stop. Everything we'd like now is just fall into comfy cushions and watch a movie, which is not too deep and not too tense. Or better make a movie day and engage continuously into cinematographic paradise. To avoid monotony, we'd mix genres and have a mishmash of animation, comedy, science fiction and even horror. And why not when December brings new intriguing features to big screens:
COMEDY
Plot Synopsis: The film follows an outspoken plus-sized teenage girl named Willowdean (Danielle Macdonald), who's known as Will to her friends and Dumplin' to her mother (Jennifer Aniston), a former beauty queen who now runs the local Miss Teen Blue Bonnet pageant. In her small Texas town, Will confidently ignores comments about her weight and listens to Dolly Parton songs obsessively. But when she decides to enter her mother's pageant in protest, her bold move encourages other contestants to follow in her footsteps, redefining the town's traditions in the process.
Plot Synopsis: In the story, Michael (Ben Whishaw) and Jane (Emily Mortimer) are now grown up, with Michael, his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen (Julie Walters), living on Cherry Tree Lane. HORROR
Plot Synopsis: USA in the 1970s. We follow the highly intelligent Jack (Matt Dillon) over a span of 12 years and are introduced to the murders that define Jack's development as a serial killer. We experience the story from Jack's point of view, while he postulates each murder is an artwork in itself. As the inevitable police intervention is drawing nearer, he is taking greater and greater risks in his attempt to create the ultimate artwork. Along the way we experience Jack's descriptions of his personal condition, problems and thoughts through a recurring conversation with the unknown Verge - a grotesque mixture of sophistry mixed with an almost childlike self-pity and psychopathic explanations.
Plot Synopsis: Terror unfolds in a quiet suburban town after the most destructive demon in the galaxy is accidentally unleashed, setting in motion a butterfly effect series of events that affects the citizens in mysterious and horrific ways. Corey Feldman plays James Diamond, an eccentric television host who exposes sexual predators, who must now face the biggest challenge of his career when a predator turns out to be not what they seem.
SCIENCE-FICTION AND ADVENTURE
