Superheroes Upsurging April Cinema Theatres

April brings a company of superheroes on board. Even The Mummy awaits to be reborn. Not to mention a comeback of Hellboy, introduction of Shazam and the final battle of our beloved team of Avengers. Action and thriller movies released this month are truly comics-related. If you're a fan, lucky you. If you don't fancy those unrealistic characters, April has another type of action and thriller in its sleeve, too:

Plot Synopsis: When a group of teens in financial ruin decide to rob the local antique store, they discover an old wooden tomb containing a Mummy's corpse and an ancient amulet. But what they don't realize is that this tomb is cursed, and when the amulet is separated from its master, he will do anything to get it back. The burglars must save the day and return the Mummy to its tomb before it is too late to save the world.

Plot Synopsis: In a world where a plague of an unknown source has killed billions of people and many others turned into dangerous creatures, the rest of humanity is desperately trying to survive in this world. Kyle, the protagonist of the game, meets a group of survivors led by Julian Lassagne that created a colony known as New Hope. He joins them and helps them survive.

Plot Synopsis: A 14-year-old boy named Billy Batson (Asher Angel) is granted the powers of six ancient heroes by a dying wizard (Ron Cephas Jones), which he activates by saying the wizard's name, ‘Shazam!' Upon doing so, he is transformed by a magic lightning bolt into an adult superhero (Zachary Levi). Each of the ancient heroes' initials are represented by the letters in the word: the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury. While Billy at first revels in the joy of being a hero – albeit one who still has a teenager's mind – he is forced into serious action in order to battle the evil Doctor Sivana (Mark Strong). On Billy's side is his foster brother and best friend Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer), a superhero enthusiast who helps both train Billy and keep Billy's secret.

Plot Synopsis: When a young boy turns up dead in a sleepy Western Pennsylvania town, a local truck driver, Donald (Andrew Scott), takes it upon himself to play detective, embarking on an obsessive investigation in order to the prove that the boy had been murdered, leading to unthinkable and harrowing consequences.

Plot Synopsis: Hellboy is back, and he's on fire. From the pages of Mike Mignola's seminal work, this action-packed story sees the legendary half-demon superhero (David Harbour) called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue (Milla Jovovich), a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.

Plot Synopsis: The film centers on a man named Sam (Andrew Garfield) who becomes obsessed with the strange circumstances of a billionaire mogul's murder and the kidnapping of a girl. Riley Keough plays the role of Sarah, Sam's new neighbor, and Topher Grace plays the role of Sam's friend who helps him with an investigation surrounding a missing woman.

Plot Synopsis: Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, with half of the universe killed in an event dubbed ‘The Decimation’, the universe lies in shambles and the remaining Avengers and their allies must reassemble to repair the damage caused by Thanos and bring harmony back to the universe.

Plot Synopsis: When an inexperienced park ranger finds a dead body under mysterious circumstances on a remote mountain trail, she must guard it overnight until authorities can arrive, forcing her to confront some of her deepest, darkest fears.
