New October Movies With A Spice Of Maleficence And Halloween

Welcome to the times of Joker. After this new drama directed by Todd Phillips won the Venice Golden Lion this year and entered cinema theatres, the polemic about the value and meaning of this movie still rises breaking the audience and the critics into two opposite camps: those who praise the depth of the plot and those who actually hit the seal. There's no better way to judge the movie than to go and see it for yourselves, and October has already offered this opportunity to the wide audience. However, October has released a bunch of other new movies worth of your attention. So check them out:

DRAMA

Plot Synopsis: In 1981, a failed stand-up comedian (Joaquin Phoenix), disregarded by his society, turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City, slowly rising up to become a frightening legend.

Plot Synopsis: The film follows the unlikely friendship that unfolds between a young deaf boy, Wesley (Danny Murphy) and a fugitive criminal who takes refuge in an abandoned barn on the family's rural North Dakota farm. After forming a deep bond with the man, Wesley must decide where to place his allegiances when the authorities begin to close in on the fugitive.

Plot Synopsis: The electrifying true story of Enitan (Damson Idris), a young Nigerian boy, ‘farmed out' by his parents to a white British family in the hope of giving him a better future. Instead, Enitan grows up to become the leader of a skinhead gang in 1980's England. Farming is a powerful autobiographical story of success and of triumph over one's extreme adversity.

Plot Synopsis: Will (Armie Hammer) is a bartender in New Orleans. He has a great job, great friends, and a girlfriend, Carrie (Dakota Johnson), who loves him. He skates across life's surface, ignoring complications and concentrating on enjoying the moment. One night at the bar, a violent brawl breaks out, which injures one of his regular customers and causes some college kids to leave behind a cell phone in their haste. Will begins receiving disturbing texts and calls from the stranger's phone. While Will hopes to not get involved, Carrie gets lost down a rabbit hole investigating this strange malevolence. They've discovered something unspeakable, and it's crawling slowly into the light.

COMEDY

Plot Synopsis: Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock move to the American heartland as they face off against evolved zombies, fellow survivors, and the growing pains of the snarky makeshift family.

Plot Synopsis: The film follows Dave (Alexander England), a washed-up musician who volunteers to chaperone his nephew's kindergarten class field trip after taking a serious liking to the fearless schoolteacher, Miss Caroline (Lupita Nyong'o). Dave's intentions are complicated by the presence of the world's most famous kids' show personality and competition for Miss Caroline's affections, Teddy McGiggle (Josh Gad). One thing none of them bargained for, however, is a sudden zombie outbreak. Will Dave rise to the occasion and have a chance at Miss Caroline's heart, or will the zombies get there first?

FANTASY

Plot Synopsis: In the sequel Maleficent continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy (Angelina Jolie) and the soon to be Queen (Elle Fanning), as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.

ANIMATION

Plot Synopsis: Based on the famous New Yorker creations of Charles Addams, this animated action-comedy will follow the Addams family whose lives begin to unravel when they face-off against a crafty reality-TV host while also preparing for their extended family to arrive for a major celebration, Addams-style.
