Cormoran Strike Returns To TV Screens with The Ink Black Heart
The Cormoran Strike series is not only impatiently awaited by the readers. Robert Galbraith's (J. K. Rowling's) created private detective Cormoran Strike and his agency partner Robin Ellacott are also extremelly popular on TV screens. So BBC's announcement about the sixth installment ready to reach them in December is the overwhelming news!
The Ink Black Heart will come in four one-hour episodes starring, as always, Tom Burke (Cormoran Strike) and Holliday Grainger (Robin Ellacott). Sue Tully returns the third time to direct Strike after Strike - Troubled Blood and Strike - Lethal White.
The plot of the sixth Robert Galbraith's crime novel is about the co-creator of a popular cartoon, The Ink Black Heart, Edie who comes to Robin at the agency stating being persecuted by a mysterious online figure who goes by the pseudonym of Anomie. Edie is desperate to uncover Anomie’s true identity. Robin decides that the agency can’t help with this but few days later she reads the shocking news that Edie has been tasered and then murdered in Highgate Cemetery, the location of The Ink Black Heart.
Robin and her business partner Cormoran Strike become drawn into the quest to uncover Anomie’s true identity. But with a complex web of online aliases, business interests and family conflicts to navigate, Strike and Robin find themselves embroiled in a case that stretches them to their limit.
As we wait for the screen adaptation of the sixth novel, there's the seventh novel released in September last year - The Running Grave - to read, and the title of the eight's has been also revealed - The Hallmarked Man, which will hopefully be published in the first part of 2025.
