Meet Stuart Nash Before The French Illusion: Grisham Releases The Law Student

John Grisham's fans are waiting for September 29 when his new spy story The French Illusion will be launched in New York. But one of the most productive authors in the world doesn't stop to surprise his readers, as before his new novel goes public, he offers them a prequel to the story called The Law Student.

John Grisham's subscribers have received a following message from the writer:

Doubleday is putting the finishing touches on The French Illusion and will soon send it to the printer. We'll launch it on September 29 in New York with a few media apprearances and interviews. Then we'll hit the road for a quick book tour in St. Louis, Louisville, and Washington. I don't tour much these days, as I'd rather stay on the farm and write.

The French Illusion is somewhat of a departure for me. It's more of a spy story, with more espionage and international suspense and less intrigue from the legal world.

However, a central character is a young lawyer named Stuart Nash. He's bored with his dead-end job in a U.S. Attorney's office when he's recruited by a mysterious government agency to become someone else. Saying yes could cost him his life.

To introduce Stuart to the story, I have written a short prequel about him. It's called The Law Student and it's available today. Enjoy!

So if you'd like to meet Stuart Nash before his lethal adventures in The French Illusion, you can start with his earlier life as The Law Student.
