New February Action And Thriller In Scarce Minority


Normally we'd already be discussing the Oscar winners this month but with the world still in tilt and in quarantine we are still waiting for the Oscar nominations to be announced on March 15. So no action and no thriller, just the same old lingering in the dark. Even the list of new February movies relies on drama and romance, overshadowing strong action and squeezing new thrillers into a minority corner:


ACTION AND THRILLER


Plot Synopsis: Set in the year 2092 and follows the crew of a space junk collector ship called The Victory. When they discover a humanoid robot named Dorothy that's known to be a weapon of mass destruction, they get involved in a risky business deal.


Plot Synopsis: A quiet drifter is tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Wally's Wonderland. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Fists fly, kicks land, titans clash - and only one side will make it out alive.


Plot Synopsis: Brought to Los Angeles for treatment, a recovering junkie soon learns that the rehab center is not about helping people, but a cover for a multi-billion-dollar fraud operation that enlists addicts to recruit other addicts.


Plot Synopsis: A crooked legal guardian who drains the savings of her elderly wards meets her match when a woman she tries to swindle turns out to be more than she first appears.


HORROR


Plot Synopsis: A man providing overnight watch to a deceased member of his former Orthodox Jewish community finds himself opposite a malevolent entity.


ANIMATION


Plot Synopsis: An orphan girl, Earwig, is adopted by a witch and comes home to a spooky house filled with mystery and magic.


Plot Synopsis: Adaptation of the classic Hanna-Barbera property, which reveals how Tom and Jerry first meet and form their rivalry.
