Not Only Oppenheimer Among New July Drama Movies

It seems that July has launched only two new motion pictures onto the big screens: Barbie and Oppenheimer. Other movies, although no less engaging and worth watching, stand aside while those two compete in the social media meme competition. But when there's so much fake drama in-between, let's see what other new July drama movies have to tell the audience:

Plot Synopsis: Amanda, 24, lives mostly isolated and has never had any friends, even if it's the thing she wants the most. Amanda chooses as her new mission to convince her childhood friend that they are still best friends.

Plot Synopsis: An intimate coming of age story of a pregnant single mother who embraces her Bay Area community as she determines the fate of her family.

Plot Synopsis: The story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb.

Plot Synopsis: A dying 18 year-old orphaned girl wants to travel to Europe to track down her biological mother, so when she meets a kind-hearted young man reeling from the guilt of a fatal accident, she convinces him to accompany her on the journey.

Plot Synopsis: A middle-aged French couple moves to a local village, seeking closeness with nature where their presence inflames two locals to the point of outright hostility and shocking violence.

Plot Synopsis: An unexpected invitation rushes a grieving young woman into a lonely road trip through the American Midwest towards the border between Texas and Mexico.

Plot Synopsis: The interlocking stories of two young Oglala Lakota men growing up on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
